TradeWinds Services in Merrillville, IN has a full-time position in our Adult Day Activity Program & Training classrooms working with adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

Description of Position:  To work with, guide, and teach individuals skills that are necessary to increase or maintain the participant's present levels of functioning.  To provide direct services to clients which include personal hygiene, housekeeping, daily living skills, and recreational and community-integrated activities. To provide individual and group habilitation, and document/track their individual progress.

Education Requirements:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Preference will be given to individuals with CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).

Experience Required:  Prefer past experience working with adults with disabilities. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Must be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions independently without ongoing direct supervision.  Ability to multi-task and work as a team.

Additional Information:  Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
