Childcare Lead Teacher
TradeWinds Service, Inc, located in Merrillville, IN has a full-time position for a Lead Teacher in Children's Services. Day shift, must be available Monday-Friday; 6:30 am- 6:00 pm (hours will vary)
Description of Position: The Lead Teacher and the Assistant Teacher are responsible for the care and education of a group of children as part of a teaching team. They are responsible for supervising and caring for infants and toddlers that are enrolled in the Childcare program. They are responsible to plan and implement the curriculum in accordance with TradeWinds Services and their partnership program, Early Head Start. This position requires active participation with the children, families, other members of the teaching team, as well as various Early Head Start staff, to asses and address the needs of individual children.
Education Requirements: Must meet child care licensing requirements; Must be at least 21 years of age (depending on childcare room) CDA preferred
Experience: Must have at least three (3) months experience with children in a classroom setting
Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
