    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Manages the Talent Development team, which is comprised of a Corporate Trainer, an LMS Administrator and an Instructional Design Team.

    Summary

    This position is responsible for designing and executing a learning culture, overseeing the development of associates around the bank’s strategic objectives and division goals and needs.  This includes the enhancement of core skills, business fundamentals, culture, motivation, team building, compliance and leadership development.  This position collaborates with leadership on what knowledge, skills, and abilities are needed for current and future goal achievement and works with the Talent Development Team to develop and implement our training objectives.  The Talent Development Director will be expected to drive the bank’s Talent Development strategies, tools, and processes as a servant leader, bringing results-driven cultural strategic initiatives forward for consideration and implementation.

    Essential duties

    • Strategic advisor; serves as a credible and trusted advisor to department heads, executives, and other bank stakeholders on effective and leading-edge learning and development strategies to achieve business goals
    • Program delivery and management; responsible for developing the deployment plan and related change management and communications
    • Assesses and analyzes gaps in associates’ skills, knowledge, motivation, and communication as they relate to the execution of goals, processes and teamwork 
    • Designs and establishes benchmarks that measure the impact and effectiveness of organizational development programs on the bank’s overall performance
    • Oversees the design of various deliverables and the development of training solutions through the use of technology
    • Develops a retention strategy for all programs to ensure the training is relevant and reinforced by our learning culture
    • Leads and engages initiatives in the bank involving performance development
    • Actively supports and develops Talent Development Team around personal and professional needs and goals 
    • Collaborates with Human Resources on mutual goals, including onboarding, performance support, succession planning, competency development, leadership development, associate relations, and cultural/Best Place to Work initiatives
    • Actively reviews and assesses stakeholder training requests to determine priority and needs, given training strategies and goals to manage team project load with existing and to-be-developed training content
    • Oversees and manages Talent Development budget
    • Ensures regulatory compliance training is administered throughout the organization

    Additional duties:

    • Plans by setting objectives, formulating policy, developing strategies, establishing procedures, forecasting organization development needs and developing budgets
    • Manages staff functions by appropriately delegating work assignments
    • Establishes and oversees the selection of vendor relationships
    • Performs needs assessments with departments to determine skill gaps and appropriate learning solutions related to personalities, learning styles, and depth of knowledge
    • Oversees developments and management of training solutions across the bank
    • Utilizes the Predictive Index tool to assist with training initiatives and relationship building

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Superb consultation, presentation, and problem solving skills with proven practice handling complex situations and implementing successful talent development solutions
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and build collaborative relationships throughout the organization, anticipating obstacles and challenges and proposing solutions
    • Experience with managing multiple stakeholder requests
    • Experience with managing teams responsible for designing, developing, and implementing across blended learning modalities
    • Experience with the entire training development life cycle
    • Ability to leverage the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the Talent Development Team around projects and objectives
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
    • Strong project management skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite
    • Ability to engage and speak professionally; Strong communication skills
    • Knowledge of Adult Education learning theories and the effective application within a business setting
    • Exceptional technical writing skills
    • Knowledge of human performance improvement practices
    • Understanding and implementation of Gap Analysis
    • Ability to execute initiatives professionally, timely and accurately
    • Occasional travel within Centier markets

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of leadership experience within Training or Organizational Development
    • Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, Education, or comparable field
    • Learning Program Management, Instructional Design and Learning Management System experience
    • Experience around leveraging content from vendors, such as St. Meyer and Hubbard, Omega, Franklin Covey, BAI, Lynda, and other sources to supplement internal developmental resources
