    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May provide input in supervision of Administrative Assistant.


    SUMMARY:  Generate new business for Centier Bank through building of Small Business relationships (including deposits and lending – SBA and conventional) in a profitable manner while cross-selling other Bank products and services to both new and existing clients. Candidates must have a solid understanding of the banking industry and the underwriting process.



    Generate new SBA and conventional banking relationships (deposits and loans) by calling on prospective and current clients to discuss their financial needs, gathering pertinent data, making on-site visits and making the loan decision or presenting to the proper committee. Primary focus will be on small business relationships with credit exposure of $1 million or less.


    Cross-sell Bank products and services building full-service relationships.


    Be an ambassador for Centier representing the Bank in community activities including business, charitable, civic and social.


    Provide complete information for timely preparation of credit packages, make presentations to the proper committee, and make credit recommendations.


    Review all prepared documentation ensuring the Bank’s collateral positions are properly perfected. 


    Monitor individual loan portfolio for delinquent loans, credit deterioration and documentation deficiencies and keep files updated with appropriate memorandums while alerting management to any issues.


    Develop a new business referral network by calling on Centers of Influence within the communities you serve.


    Provide financial counseling and World-Class Service Experiences to prospective and existing clients. 


    Provide relationship support to Branch and Loan Servicing personnel regarding deposit and lending opportunities and any related questions or issues.


    Make joint sales calls with Group Manager and Department Manager.


    Participate in workshops, seminars, and training as required.


    It is the expectation that a lender in this position generate between $3 to $5 million in new relationships (deposits and loans) per year. Production to include SBA and Conventional lending.


    Make joint business development calls monthly with each assigned Retail Branch Manager and participate monthly in a follow-up Business Development Meeting to be held.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 1+ years of experience related to commercial credit or lending experience required 
    • College degree required. Formal credit training is preferred.
