    Summary:  The Commercial Post-Closing Review Specialist is responsible for post-closing review of all new, renewed and modified loans to ensure that loans have closed according to approved terms, proper policy, procedures and compliance requirements have been met.  

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Provide the highest levels of quality service to internal clients in a friendly, positive and professional manner.
    • Strive to provide World Class experience with every interaction.
    • Log all commercial loan closing packages daily as received.
    • Log and review original promissory notes, Reg B, Government Monitoring Request form.
    • Review of all Laser Pro and attorney prepared new, renewed and modified loans; including but not limited to workout, attorney prepared, SWAPs, SBA 7 (A), 504, participations and syndications.
    • Review all documentation for completeness, accuracy according to approval, adherence to regulatory requirements and bank policy and procedures.
    • Compare the loan approval to loan documentation to ensure accuracy.
    • Verify specified closing conditions have been met.
    • Ensure proper lien perfection for all loans prepared by Centralized Doc Prep and attorneys.
    • Review all commercial files for proper supporting documentation, signatures, approvals, etc.
    • Create documentation tracking ticklers as necessary to ensure corrective action will be taken relating to documentation deficiencies.  Ticklers will also be created for proper collateral perfections, UCC tracking and flood insurance tracking.
    • Initiate reporting of errors and discrepancies to Commercial Loan Documentation Manager.
    • Communicate significant or frequent errors and discrepancies to the Commercial Loan Support Team Lead and Commercial Loan Documentation Manager.
    • Clear document tracking ticklers by verifying lien perfection of collateral documents and proper corrective documentation has been received.
    • Process post-closing collateral documents (such as recorded documents, lien perfections, final title policies, etc.).
    • Assist in the assembly and organization of credit and collateral files to be imaged.
    • Prepare weekly CL File Review report.
    • Follow up on loan closing packages that are over 30 days from booking date.
    • Assist in preparing real estate partial release documents.
    • Dual control UCC filings with Support Specialist in CDP.
    • Recommend changes to management for process improvement based on file review findings and trends.
    • Keeps procedures current and updated as necessary.
    • Stay abreast of regulatory, legal, policy and procedural changes to insure a strong understanding of all aspect of loan product requirements.
    • Assist with research requests, audit reviews and department projects as needed.
    • Be willing to attend webinars, seminars and stay current on changes in laws pertaining to commercial documentation.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • This position necessitates the individual be detail oriented, well organized with the ability to multi-task.
    • Have a thorough understanding of title work, appraisals, surveys and commercial loan documentation.
    • Specialize in the governing laws of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code related to the bank’s secured interest in the collateral.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of various types of collateral related to typical, as well as complex, commercial loan documents (both internally prepared and attorney prepared documents).
    • Must possess excellent communication and customer services skills.
    • Must be able to work closely with lender and business banking administrative assistants.
    • Must be a quick study for new tasks, procedures, software/technology as well as conceptual philosophy behind the diverse set of tasks related to risk management of commercial loans.
    • Strong knowledge of loan documentation software, such as LaserPro, bank software and Microsoft Office.
    • Demonstrated expertise in loan documentation and collateral perfection requirements.
    • Must be able to take initiative to find answers by asking questions and researching.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma
    • 2+ years of commercial loan documentation experience.
